It comes with little surprise that Immigration has been effected by COVID-19.
Steps have been taken to ease the pain by the grant of an extension until 31 May 2020 if you cannot leave the UK because of travel restrictions or self-isolation related to coronavirus (COVID-19).
This does not mean you should sit back and do nothing.
If your in the UK and your leave expires between 24th January 2020 and 31st May 2020 your visa will be extended until 31st May 2020.
The Home Office must be informed; you can provide instructions to us so we could do this immediately.
Contact us and provide us with the following information
- your full name (include any middle names)
- date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy)
- nationality
- your previous visa reference number
- why you can’t go back to your home country, for example if the border has closed
We can then make the appropriate representations. We are working extremely efficiently through our remote channels and can arrange this step to prevent you from becoming an overstayer.
